Ms. Delores L. McCollum is the Principal Co-ordinator of Majestic Butterfly®. Her career as a professional Event Co-ordinator was incubated and nurtured in her first career. She was a 7th – 12th grade Social Studies teacher in the public schools of Cleveland, Ohio for 31 1/2 years. While teaching, While teaching, Delores mastered the art of multi-tasking, working with tight budgets, and meeting deadlines. Her teaching experience, and collaborative endeavors with colleagues, honed her abilities to work well with many people in a variety of settings.

As an event planner and co-ordinator Ms. McCollum continues to serve the community. She is the creator of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Breakfast Celebration. This event, held in Cleveland, Ohio provides an annual and honorable observance of the life and work of Dr. King, and highlights the creativity of the youth of Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio. The “Happy Birthday Dr. King!”© Contest gives students an opportunity to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while showcasing their creativity.
